Sony Xperia i1 aka Honami Leaked Rumored To Support 4k Video Recording

Sony is now one of the world’s leading Android phone maker. To rival with the likes of Samsung and HTC, the Japan tech maker has started to produce a lineup of quality and exciting gadgets. The Honami will now be yet another outstanding addition to its line of Android phones.

For sometime around, we have been listening to the rumors about Sony’s fresh Android phone, the Xperia Honami. It was also in rumors that the gadget would feature a 20.7MP rear camera that can compete with the 41MP PureView camera of the Lumia 1020 and 16MP rear camera of the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The device is expected to feature a 5-inch full HD display with 1080p resolution, quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity with an external MicroSD card slot and wireless capabilities.

The phone is also expected to feature a 2.0-megapixel front facing camera as well, and said to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and finally it’s water-and-dust-resistant like the Xperia Z and the newly launched Xperia Z Ultra. The snapper features a standard 4:3 aspect ratio and an aperture of f/2.0 for better quality pics and video.

It  appears to feature a charging connector that may be magnetic. This would allow the phone to be used elegantly in a dark or even a car mount. The Sony’s handset indicates the alleged Xperia i1 aka Honami’s 4K video will have a resolution of 2000×4000 pixels. However, Sony’s defined standard Ultra HD resolution for its 4K TV is 2160×3840 pixels, which puts the authenticity of the slide in some doubt. The Honami is expected for official release on Sept. 4 in Berlin. Sony is likely to release the device just ahead of the IFA 2013. Still the company hasn’t confirmed the report. Regarding other specs, the Honami is said to be just like an Xperia Z apart from its camera aspects.
