LG G2 To Arrive On AT&T And Verizon By Mid-September In US

LG unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the 5.2-inch G2, at a press event earlier this month, but the company still hasn’t announced when the handset will hit stores. Now, Android Central today is reporting that sources familiar with LG have pegged the phone for a September 12 release on Verizon, and September 13 on AT&T. Availability for Sprint and T-Mobile is still unknown.

The LG G2 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor on the inside clocked at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with LG’s own added UI layered on top. The G2′s volume and power buttons have also been moved to the back of the device, creating a sleek and symmetrical design but not adding much to the user experience.

AT&T will reportedly begin taking pre-sales on September 3, offering a free folio case to customers that order the phone early. The preorder page is already up on Verizon’s site, and Verizon claims its model of the phone comes with exclusive wireless charging capabilities.

There is still no information on pricing or availability for the LG G2 on Sprint and T-Mobile. The phone has already gone on sale in South Korea.
