LG Enact QWERTY Smartphone for Verizon Just “Days Away” from Launch

The physical QWERTY keyboard is an increasingly rare beast in the smartphone world, with a growing number of manufacturers opting instead to offer handsets with ginormous screens capable of showing expansive software keyboards. Apparently Verizon and LG may be preparing to release a new Android slider complete with a full QWERTY keyboard.

Referred to by @evleaks as the "LG Enact," this device boasts a five-row keyboard with a dedicated number row and a set of Android navigation keys. Along with that physical QWERTY, the Enact is said to be packing a 4-inch 800x480 display as well as a 5-megapixel camera. The Enact's home screen shows that support for Verizon's 4G LTE network is also included.

However, the device’s launch is reportedly just “days away,” though we’re not sure we’re going to see a big launch for this device. It looks relatively low to mid-end, and marketing cash is usually spent on the flagship devices these days.

Given the relatively low level of leaks and rumors for this one we are not expecting much more than an entry-level device with a $50 (or less) price with two year service agreement.
