Gyromatic Go2X Brushless Gimbal Camera Stabilizer

Gyromatic Go2X Brushless Gimbal Camera Stabilizer

Created by Australia-based Gyromatic, the Go2X is designed and calibrated for GoPro 3 with the weatherproof case, this handy rig is made using a combination of CNC plastic tooling, 3D printing as well as injection moulding process. Action shots used to be hard to acquire, with camcorders and digital cameras not exactly up to the task. Now, with the rise in popularity of cameras like the GoPro, anyone can get the shots they want with minimal effort. Though these cameras are good at capturing action, some shots are still difficult to acquire and keep stable, and that's where the Gyromatic Go2X Gimbal Stabilizer comes into play, as it keeps those shots clean and smooth.

Features include integrated legs, rubber grip, mobile device support stand that could accommodate an iPhone or Android device (for use as your GoPro wireless viewfinder), a balanced gimbal assembly, two custom made rewound brushless motors with controller, an inertial measurement unit or IMU, and a 1/4″ standard tripod thread for fitment to a tripod or monopod if necessary. there are two models available for your choosing: the Go2X and the Go2X Pro. the latter has everything the Go2X has with the addition of a “thumbstick” which allows you to manipulate teh camera angle in both pitch and roll manually, and also doubles as a push button menu system for selecting the various operational profiles.

It uses a Simple Brushless Gimble Controller which are small electronic motors that detect shake and movement from the user with the help of gyroscopes and accelerometers. This data is fed through a processor that uses an algorithm to define the angle and make corrections on the fly.

It is lighter than other kinds of stabilization, which is perfect for action shots, as the less equipment a user has to carry.

Gyromatic is seeking funding for its mount on Indiegogo seeking US$25,000. Buyers interested in getting an action mount for themselves can do so for $550 for a limited time. The standard backer price will go to $650 once the early specials run out.
